In just 6 short years Instagram has amassed to 400 million users. 60% of which log in daily, making it the second most engaged network after Facebook.
Until recently Instagram was a platform that didn’t allow advertising. It was a platform for sharing photos, getting likes and followers, but it was difficult to monetize it.
This all changed in September of 2015, when Instagram opened up paid advertising to everyone on the platform!
We were now able to drive traffic to content of our choice, other than saying “link in the bio”.
And the wonderful thing about Instagram advertising?
It’s still relatively new and competition is not nearly as fierce as some of the other platforms, like Google AdWords or even Facebook, making it the ideal place for you to start generating leads and sales!
Today I want to share with you just some of the different ways leads are being generated on Instagram along with some helpful Instagram ad examples.
Providing a free download in exchange for an email is one of the original forms of marketing and it still works great! It’s one of those if it still works continue to do it type things.
Marketers have realized that Instagram is a perfect platform for driving in these people who want their content! But unlike other forms of marketing they may be using, Instagram is heavily reliant on visuals. In order to make your ad stand out it needs to be eye-catching and needs to convey what you want people to do all within the image and it needs to skirt the line between an ad and a normal Instagram post.

The image is bright, eye-catching and tells you just enough to get you to click to the next step and get your free workbook. The description may be a little lengthy, but you shouldn’t need to read it to know what it is and that you want to click the download button.
Instagram ads like this do a great job of driving content downloads and capturing leads.
As marketers, one thing we are always trying to do is to learn more. Whether it is how to generate more leads for our business, what our competitors are doing for their sales funnel, or how to successfully advertise. These are just a few of the strategies that marketers are using to generate leads and grow their business using quizzes.
